WTFAI is a biweekly podcast from the Center for Digital Thriving about how we're evolving with AI — fuzzy, weird, messy feelings included. We sit with them, name them, and sometimes invent the words that were missing. At the heart of the show is a simple idea, as hosts Dan Be Kim and Beck Tench describe it: “Lots of people are thinking about AI. We want to talk about how it makes you feel.”
Dr. Beck Tench (she/her) has deep and abiding curiosities about how to live well in a radically connected world. She is a Principal Investigator at Project Zero, where she serves as a senior researcher, designer, and co-leader of the IMAGINE AI portfolio of work at the Center for Digital Thriving. Her research explores how people find hope and digital agency, individually and collectively. Beck also teaches at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Dan Be Kim is an AI Fellow and translational research designer at PZ’s Center for Digital Thriving, Dan Be works closely with stakeholders in education while taking a holistic approach to her broader praxis — interfacing with technologists and organizations across sectors to understand both the universal throughlines and unique differences in how people experience technology across age, culture, domain, and developmental stage.
